The Heart Behind the Foundation: Jackson & Millie

This foundation was born from the deepest kind of love—a father’s love for his children. Jared Spader’s world revolved around Jackson and Millie, two extraordinary souls who filled each day with laughter, music, imagination, and the kind of tenderness that leaves an everlasting mark. Being their dad wasn’t just part of his life—it was the most sacred, joy-filled role he would ever know. This space exists to carry that love forward, to honor who they were, and to ensure that their light continues to reach others—especially those who serve, protect, and carry the burdens of others every day. Through this foundation, their story becomes a legacy of healing, hope, and heart.

Jackson

Jackson was a gentle, old soul — kind, affectionate, and full of quiet wisdom. From the start, he was easy to be around: warm, thoughtful, and full of grace. There was no “terrible twos” or threes with Jackson — just deep empathy and a peaceful presence. He adored his little sister Millie and found real joy in caring for her. Whether playing dinosaurs, making music, or digging together in their “dirt kitchen,” Jackson never grew tired of being her protector, playmate, and best friend. When Millie cried, Jackson cried. He hugged big, loved freely, and gave more of himself than most people ever learn to. He was a songwriter, a gardener, a big dreamer, and a quiet light. Jackson loved his home, his school, and his life — and he made everyone around him better, just by being his beautiful, tender-hearted self. He was, as his dad says, “the best version of all of us.”

Millie

Millie was vibrant, witty, and full of magic — a bright little spark who lit up every space she entered. Though she was only two, she had a vocabulary and a sense of humor that made everyone around her stop and smile. She idolized Jackson, following him everywhere, wanting to do everything he did — from backyard yoga to musical jam sessions. She loved animals, spinny dresses, pink everything, and lunch on the yoga mats in the sunshine with her dad. She was “two going on nine,” confident and sweet, never demanding the spotlight, but always shining in it. Millie would try on dress after dress until she found the one that felt just right. She loved music, playing the keyboard and drums alongside Jackson, and she signed and dated every piece of artwork she made with pride. Millie had a heart full of affection and a spirit full of joy. She was funny, fearless, and unforgettable — the kind of little girl who made everything feel like home.
